Task

We have been discussing primary sources in library and are using the Library of Congress's definition of a primary source:

"Primary sources are the raw materials of history — original documents and objects which were created at the time under study. They are different from secondary sources, accounts or interpretations of events created by someone without firsthand experience."

Your task this week is to go to the Scientists at the Smithsonian site (the link is below).  There you will find biographical sketches of different scientists, 

1. Read their names and the jobs they do and choose the one that is most interesting to you. 
2. Read the short biography of your chosen scientist and watch at least one video clip about this person.
3. In a blog post this week, tell us the name of the scientist, his/her job title, and the title of the video you watched.  (Put the video clip title in quotation marks and capitalize the important words.) 
4. Then tell us if you found any primary sources or secondary sources and provide evidence from the Web site to back up your statement.
